Peter L West Biography
Peter West is an executive and leadership coach with over 20 years' experience as a senior executive, consultant and coach. He has worked in the fields of IT, Technology, Telecommunications, Customer Service, Hospitality, Non-profit, Financial Services, Health Care, Human Resources and Education.
Peter earned a degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Colorado, Denver and an MBA from Anaheim University. He intended to become a clinical psychologist, but while working a summer job with CompuServe (then the dominant Internet service), he discovered a passion for technology, specifically Internet technology. That detour led to an incredibly satisfying career as a senior executive in Internet, Cable and Telecommunications companies.
Throughout his career, Peter has focused on operational and organizational development, project management, process improvement, technology management and deployment, strategy and leadership development.
In 2009, he decided to leave the corporate world in order to bring his knowledge and expertise to organizations and individuals on a consulting basis. He took the opportunity to further focus on leadership coaching and development which had long been a passion of his. In an effort to codify his many years of experience as a coach, he joined the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching program where he earned his Certification in Leadership Coaching. He is also a Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.
His true passion is in helping individuals, leaders, teams and organizations in transition. In his present role as Principal Consultant and Leadership Coach he is able to leverage his extensive business background and his formal training as a coach in a way that is not only personally rewarding, but produces tangible results in his clients.
